Blog Hop/Follow Friday

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy-for-Books and is an awesome way for book bloggers to interact and find each other. Such a wonderful idea! There’s a new questions every week that all the participating blogs have to answer. This week’s question is “What is the thing you like most about reading book blogs? Is it the reviews, author guest posts, articles, giveaways, or something else entirely?”

Answer: I love reading reviews. I’m at the point where I need to know something about a book before I read it. I want to know what to expect so I don’t get my hopes up or pick up a book that totally isn’t for me. I also love finding books through blogs. I’m adding to my TBR constantly because I see these amazing books all over people’s blogs. There are some really great books I might never have heard of if I didn’t read book blogs.

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee. This is another meme that helps book bloggers connect. This week’s featured blog is Another Book Junkie.

“Do you have an under-noticed author that you think we should all know about?”

Answer: Hmm… I’m not sure if I can think of an under-noticed one. There have been some great books I’ve read this year by authors that aren’t very well-known. Usually, that’s because they’re debuts. Most of the things I’ve read have been by pretty well-known authors. An author I’ve been reading a lot lately is John Green. I haven’t seen much of him on blogs, but he released his last book in March or April so I probably just missed that. Anyway, I think he’s amazing and if you haven’t read any of his books, you should give them a try.

Happy Friday

  2. One of my writer friends is a HUGE John Green fan and I can't wait to pick one of his up for myself. I think this is a great question because new authors are publishing books ALL THE TIME hoping for more than just their fifteen minutes of fame. I'm really hoping Kody Keplinger DOES NOT fall into that category. She's amazing and deserves a long, healthy writing career.New follower – I love the blog!
