What I read
It’s a little difficult to tell you what I like, since I tend to like different kinds of books. I regularly read YA, romance, manga, and childrens picture books. I’m open to other genres, but please no self-help, cookbooks, or horror.
I accept the following formats: print, ePub, Kindle, PDF, mp3, audio CDs.
What I need from you
In your request please include the book title, author name, a synopsis, and a link to it’s Goodreads or Amazon page. If you are requesting an audiobook review, please include the name of the narrator.
What to expect from me
I DO NOT read on a first come, first serve basis. I read different books depending on my mood. That means I can’t give a time frame unless I’m being involved in a blog tour or something that requires a review by a certain date.
All reviews are cross posted on Goodreads.
Here is a basic template of what I include in my reviews.
Book Info: Cover, Title, Author, etc.
Initial thoughts
Plot: interesting? believable?
Characters: development? complexity? likable?
Style: complementory? distracting?
Narrators (audio only): flow of speech? emotional sincerety? appropriate voice characterization?
Recommendations: genre lovers, certain age groups, everyone?
Quotes (rare): if anything strikes me as funny/awesome/inspiring.
Book Badges: sexual content, profanity, very funny, graphic art/illustration, audiobook, teens/YA, childrens, not for me, favorite (I apply these where necessary)
Rating: 1-5 stars
NR – I do not rate books I don’t finish or skim through
1 star – I was disappointed.
2 stars – It could have been better.
3 stars – It was pretty good.
4 stars – I really enjoyed it.
5 stars – A new favorite!
Other features
I am always interested in participating in blog tours. Make sure you contact me well ahead of time to participate so I can get it on my calendar and get my review/interview/whatever ready.
IF I AM REVIEWING/HAVE REVIEWED YOUR BOOK, I would be happy to host an interview, guest post, or giveaway. I am no longer offering these services to authors I have not read. It makes me uncomfortable to promote something that I know nothing about.
