The members of the Host Club plan an event to help Tamaki get over his separation anxiety from the Host Club, and even Haruhi gets in on the action. Will the bonds of friendship between Tamaki and Haruhi become bonds of love?

Haruhi beats herself up trying to help Tamaki win the “Curry Creation Orienteering Tournament.” It’s rare to see Haruhi get so involved, but this is for Tamaki, right? Though the other Host Club members seem to have other motives.

Hikaru can help but notice Haruhi’s efforts for Tamaki. It’s painfully obvious that she likes Tamaki. Hikaru’s really going to have to step it up if he wants to win Haruhi over. I think he feels safe until Tamaki recognizes his own feelings.

Tamaki, being his oblivious self, has finally recognized his feelings for Haruhi. Finally! The problem now? His knowledge of these feelings has turned into a blubbering idiot whenever he’s around her. If I were Hikaru, I still wouldn’t be too worried. I mean, Tamaki does have the ability to be charming when he tries. But he also has the ability to be totally vain and condescending. Still, I have to love him for his quirkiness.

The rest of the volume is mostly just a competition between Hikaru and Tamaki. It’s pretty amusing. And Haruhi seems pretty oblivious to their efforts for her attention. One interesting twist is what’s going on with the Suoh’s lawyer. Kyoya’s been tracking her and she’s definitely up to something. You’ll have to read the volume to figure it out.

  1. Yippee!! I LOVE OHSHC. Your review is really good. I've only ever watched the OHSHC anime, but I've yet to read the manga. It's hilarious that he takes 15 volumes to finally realise that he likes Hikari! XDI have read quite a good manga recently though, called Stepping on Roses. Happy reading!Tina @ Book Couture
